When building custom payload release mechanisms, high-power LED arrays, or heavy-duty motor switches for your drones and robotics, protecting the logic circuit from high-voltage spikes is critical. This optical isolator bridges the gap between your low-power Flight Controller (or Arduino/ESP32) and high-current MOSFETs, providing true galvanic isolation.

What makes the VOM1271T truly special is its photovoltaic output. By simply driving the internal LED with a standard logic signal, the chip generates its own floating voltage (typically ~8.4V) to fully open a heavy-duty N-channel MOSFET—no separate power supply is needed on the output side! Furthermore, it features a built-in active turn-off circuit that rapidly discharges the MOSFET gate, ensuring fast and crisp switching without the need for external bleed resistors. Housed in a tiny SOP-4 package, it is the ultimate space-saving solution for solid-state relays and custom power switching boards.
