This advanced IC allows you to safely connect two independent power sources (like dual batteries or dual BECs) to a single load. By controlling external N-channel MOSFETs, it acts as an "ideal diode," virtually eliminating the voltage drops and massive heat dissipation associated with traditional Schottky diodes.

What makes the LTC4370 truly remarkable is its active current-sharing capability. Instead of simply draining one battery and then switching to the other, it actively balances the load so that both batteries discharge equally. Operating flawlessly up to 18V, it is perfectly suited for 3S and 4S LiPo setups or 12V power distribution networks. Housed in an MSOP-16 package, it is the ultimate solution for designing professional Power Distribution Boards (PDBs) where redundancy, zero-downtime, and thermal efficiency are mandatory.
