Easily add accurate temperature monitoring to your projects with the LM35DZ precision integrated-circuit temperature sensor. Unlike thermistors, this highly reliable analog sensor outputs a voltage that is linearly proportional to the Centigrade (Celsius) temperature. With a simple scale factor of 10 mV/°C, calculating the temperature is incredibly straightforward and requires no complex equations or external calibration in your microcontroller's code.
Operating on a wide power supply range of 4V to 30V, it draws less than 60 µA of current. This ultra-low power consumption ensures minimal self-heating, keeping temperature readings highly accurate in ambient air. Housed in a standard through-hole TO-92 package, it is the perfect component for breadboard prototyping, custom battery chargers, drone battery temperature monitoring, and smart home IoT systems powered by Arduino or STM32.
Key Features:
Direct Celsius Output: Linear voltage output of 10 mV/°C allows for immediate and easy temperature calculation without calibration.
High Accuracy: Provides typical accuracies of ±1/4°C at room temperature.
Low Self-Heating: Draws less than 60 µA, resulting in very low self-heating (less than 0.1°C in still air).
Wide Voltage Range: Operates seamlessly on power supplies ranging from 4V to 30V.
