This highly capable 12-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter expands your microcontroller's capabilities by adding 8 independent analog channels, all communicating over a simple 2-wire I2C interface. It is an absolute powerhouse for building custom Battery Management Systems (BMS), weather stations, or drone Power Distribution Boards (PDBs) where you need to monitor multiple voltage rails and current shunts simultaneously.

A massive advantage of the ADS7828 is its built-in 2.5V internal voltage reference. Unlike cheaper ADCs that rely on the main VCC line for a reference (which can fluctuate and ruin readings), this chip provides rock-solid, highly accurate measurements regardless of power supply noise. It can sample at up to 50 kHz and features an ultra-low power mode that shuts down the device when not in use. Housed in a standard TSSOP-16 package, it is a versatile, high-precision upgrade for any sensor-heavy DIY electronics project.
